Savannah Taylor, MS, OTR/L 

Occupational Therapist

Savannah Taylor is an occupational therapist with experience in school-based and outpatient pediatrics. She received her bachelor’s degree at East Tennessee State University and her master’s degree at Milligan College. She desires to be a servant-leader and has a passion for educating fieldwork students while serving the community through occupational therapy. Savannah strives to provide family-centered care to promote positive outcomes.

Steps for an OT Evaluation

  1. Ask your child's doctor to fax an order for occupational therapy services (referral should say "OT Evaluate and Treat").
  2. Our office will verify your referral and insurance.
  3. Our office will contact you to schedule an appointment for the evaluation.
  4. Please bring your insurance card and ID to the evaluation.
  5. You will complete all required documents and a questionnaire when you arrive.

What to Expect at the Evaluation

  • Family will complete required documents and questionnaire.
  • The therapist may ask you to complete a separate questionnaire about your child's sensory processing skills and/or feeding history.
  • Family interview and child observation.
  • Standardized assessments will be completed (types of assessments based on referral diagnoses and family's goals/concerns).
  • Therapist will work with you to determine goals and plan of care for therapy.
  • If your child qualifies for intervention, the therapist will discuss scheduling future visits.
