Receptionist - Administration
Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Receptionist for the administration building is responsible for answering telephone
calls, scheduling appointment, receiving and assisting guests in a courteous and efficient
manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Answer incoming calls, determine nature of calls and route to appropriate individual/department.
- Serve as primary point of contact for visitors, receiving guests and inquiries in a courteous and friendly manner.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Oversee proper maintenance on postage machine.
- Order office supplies as needed.
- Arrange catering and run errands for events. Coordinate with external vendors as needed.
- Administrator for building access for employees.
- Oversee reservations for meetings, conference facilities, and arrange equipment if needed.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Two years' previous receptionist experience required. One to two years' healthcare experience preferred.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with faculty members, physicains, staff, and other third parties. Ability to operate computer, keyboard, and printer. Ability to operate phone system. Ability to concentrate on the situation at hand and listen effectively. Ability to organize tasks, work as a team member and/or independently. Convey a professional and positive image and attitude.
