Dr. Shrey Gole wants to help people navigate complex, chronic conditions and continue living meaningful, active lives. That desire naturally led him to rheumatology, where every patient’s story is unique and requires both careful listening and thoughtful problem-solving.
Dr. Gole values building genuine relationships with his patients and takes a collaborative, compassionate approach to care. He listens carefully, explains conditions clearly, and works with each patient to find practical ways to improve health and quality of life. Living with autoimmune or musculoskeletal illness can be challenging, but patients are not alone.
He takes a personalized, evidence-based approach to each patient’s care, aiming to explain conditions in a way that makes sense and to create plans that fit into patients’ lives, not just their lab tests. Dr. Gole combines up-to-date medical knowledge with genuine empathy and a commitment to long-term wellness, ensuring every patient feels understood, supported and empowered to stay active and engaged in the life they love.
After training at Stanford, Dr. Gole was inspired by ETSU Health’s mission – providing excellent, compassionate care to the people of Northeast Tennessee and beyond while advancing education and research. The sense of community, both among colleagues and patients, is what drew him to Johnson City as a place where medicine still feels personal.
