Dr. Tazley Hobbs’ family history with mental health conditions gave her a personal understanding of the importance of compassionate care and inspired her to pursue medicine so she could help others.
She values meaningful connection and strives to create a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment where people feel heard, respected and supported.
Dr. Hobbs came to ETSU from Middle Tennessee as an undergraduate student and went on to complete both medical school and psychiatry residency at ETSU. After serving as an outpatient psychiatrist at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center, she returned to ETSU Health to combine her passion for educating and mentoring medical students and residents with her commitment to providing compassionate, evidence-based mental healthcare to the region.
Dr. Hobbs’ goal is to partner with each patient to foster a collaborative and supportive therapeutic relationship that aligns with their individual goals while promoting overall well-being.
