As a native of the Appalachian region, Jennifer Stewart-Glenn chose to become a nurse practitioner out of a deep commitment to the people and communities that shaped her. Growing up here, she saw the barriers many faced in accessing consistent, high-quality health care — alongside the resilience, strength and enduring values that define the region.
For more than 20 years, Jennifer has been part of ETSU, drawn by its strong mission to advance rural health and deliver care where it’s needed most. Ensuring that individuals in rural communities can receive health care close to home — without leaving the people and places they love — continues to be a driving force in her work.
