Lisa Scholz became a nurse practitioner to make a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients through routine visits, preventive care and health education. Over time, she found her niche in mental health and in working with patients deeply affected by social determinants of health.
Lisa loves what she does and is passionate about providing patient-centered, holistic and compassionate care. She sees herself as more than a health care provider — she is a partner on each patient’s journey to achieving their best possible health.
Drawn by the breathtaking beauty of Northeast Tennessee, she and her family quickly fell in love with the area. She joined the ETSU Health family out of a passion for direct patient care, and the university’s vision of improving the quality of life in the region and beyond strongly resonates with her.
Outside of work, she loves to cook, bake and spend time with her family.
