Jackie Oliver became a nurse practitioner because she wanted to do more for her patients and their families. She wanted to be there for them through the good times and the tough times — to be someone who could guide them, teach them, watch them grow and learn, be their cheerleader, their voice of reason and even give a little tough love if needed.
Jackie prides herself on being thorough and taking the time patients and their children need to voice their concerns and develop a care plan that everyone involved feels comfortable with. She is passionate about caring for children. She began her nursing career as a PICU nurse and has worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings as a pediatric nurse practitioner. She believes every child is unique, deserves to speak and live in their truth, and should have a provider who accepts them for who they are and wants nothing more than for them to be happy and healthy.
She believes the people she works with are wonderful human beings. They come together and collaborate to provide the best possible care for patients and their families. She believes they prove every day what a true work family is supposed to be.
Jackie was born and raised in western North Carolina. She enjoys traveling, camping, spending time at the beach or on the lake, swimming, reading and doing craft projects.
