With more than 28 years of health care experience — including 15 years as a nurse and eight years as a nurse practitioner — Becky Flora-Waterman has cared for, and enjoys working with, patients of all ages, from newborns to older adults. She has always gravitated toward service roles and finds great satisfaction in helping others and knowing she has made a positive impact on someone’s life. Becky chose to continue in the role of nurse practitioner because it offered greater opportunities for service, increased autonomy and the ability to build deeper relationships with her patients and their families.
She views all patients as whole beings — physical, emotional and spiritual. Becky believes that complete wellness can only be achieved when the entire person is treated. To her, physical wellness is not possible without emotional and spiritual well-being, and she strives to help all her patients reach wellness in all three areas. Her patients would describe her as a good listener who genuinely cares for them and consistently provides safe and thorough care.
Becky is married with five children, two grandchildren and another on the way. A lover of music, she especially enjoys movie scores. While her favorite place to be is home, she also enjoys traveling, with her favorite vacation destination being Hilton Head, South Carolina.
