Dr. Alora Ricker became a doctor because it allows her to do many of the things she truly cares about — building relationships with people, constantly learning, teaching, giving back, and making a difference in people’s lives. She loves that every day in medicine brings new challenges and the opportunity to positively impact her patients’ health and well-being.
A Northeast Tennessee native, Dr. Ricker is proud to serve the community she calls home. Having completed her medical training at ETSU’s Quillen College of Medicine, she is grateful to now work alongside the mentors who helped shape her career. Being close to family, friends and familiar faces adds even more meaning to the care she provides.
Dr. Ricker views medicine as a partnership built on trust, communication and long-term relationships. She takes time to understand her patients’ goals and supports them in all aspects of care — from prevention and chronic condition management to simply being there when they need to talk.
